Christian Peacemaker Teams. CPT members had a significant role in exposing the abuse of Iraqi prisoners. The organization offers several means of involvement in and support for peacemaking on the ground in situations of lethal conflict.

Center for Defense Information. Top-notch site for in-depth expertise on defense, military, and weapons proliferation issues.

 Institute for Defense and Disarmament Studies. Nonprofit think tank for research and education on ways to reduce the risk of war, minimize military spending, and foster democratic institutions.

Nonviolence.org. News and resources on nonviolence theory and advocacy.

Foreign Policy in Focus. A “think tank without walls” committed to advancing a citizen-based foreign policy agenda for making theU.S. a more responsible global leader and global partner. Excellent source of informed analysis.

International Action Network on Small Arms. Global network of organizations working to stop the proliferation and misuse of small arms and light weapons.

Sabeel. Ecumenical grassroots liberation movement among Palestinian Christians. Dedicated to a spirituality based on justice, peace, nonviolence, liberation and reconciliation for the different national and faith communities.

Peace Action. Practical, positive alternatives for peace. Has effectively mobilized for peace and disarmament for over forty years (merger of previous organizations SANE and the The Freeze).

Peace Brigades International. NGO which protects human rights and promotes nonviolent transformation of conflicts by sending volunteers into areas of repression and conflict.

Peacemaking Resources on the Internet. Wide-ranging and through listing of web sites concerned with peacemaking.

Sojourners. Great web site connected with Sojourners, a magazine of faith, politics, and culture.

Glen Stassen web page. Valuable materials on the “just peacemaking” model, for which Stassen has been the leading voice.
